Trinity Lutheran Church is located at 22 Parliament Place. The church was established by members of the large German community in 1853. The oldest building on the site today is the hall, which dates from about 1860. The present bluestone church was built in 1874 to a design by Charles Blackmann with the manse being added in 1890.
Holy Trinity has been mainly, but not exclusively engaged in ministering to people whose native language is German. Long term planning envisages greater involvement in the English-language ministry while maintaining the present level of ministry in the German language.
