MCCIA events

Melbourne City Churches in Action conducts events such as the Way of the Cross Walk at Easter, the Blessing of the Nativity at Christmas, an ecumenical Bible study series, and other events during the year.

MCCIA also publishes and distributes brochures listing all the special services being held in the city over Christmas and over Easter. To download a brochure, go to the ‘Publications‘ tab.

Join the 2018 Walk For Justice For Refugees on Sunday 25 March from 2pm, at the State Library (music from 1.30pm).  Supported by many Melbourne city churches.

Good Friday ‘Way of the Cross’ walk

Join thousands of Christians to walk the annual ecumenical Way of the Cross through the city streets, on Good Friday 30th March 2018, starting at 10:00AM.

Easter Saturday Quiet Reflection Day at Friends Centre (Quakers)

There will be a Quiet Reflection Day at Victorian Friends Centre (Quakers) from 10am to 2pm on Easter Saturday 31st March 2018. The whole building and courtyard will be available for reflection, reading and prayer.

All are welcome to come for any length of time between 10am and 2pm. BYO lunch.

Easter Sunday ‘Way of the Cross’

Complete the ‘Way of the Cross’ pilgrimage, from ‘the tomb’ at dawn, cross the river, from death to life, and celebrate the triumph of resurrection life. Meet outside St Paul’s Cathedral at 6:30am.
