On Sunday 10 September 2017 the St. Verena and St Bishoy’s Coptic Orthodox Church within the Eporo Tower was officially opened by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, who took part in the opening ceremony as part of his Australian pastoral tour, and His Grace Bishop Anba Suriel, Bishop of the Holy Diocese of Melbourne, Victoria, Tasmania, ACT, South Australia, Western Australia, New Zealand and All Oceania.
